In this study, the IDC analyst observing the IT security market (for software and services) in the Western European region presents his top 10 predictions for the market in 2010.

"Cloud computing adoption will be on top of all minds from 2010 onwards," said Eric Domage, program manager for security services and solutions, IDC Western Europe. "Chief security officers face a clear challenge: As the time to doubt cloud security has passed, and action is what the times demand, CSOs must find ways to be as supportive as possible to leveraging the cloud. For vendors, the 2010 challenge is to go beyond the marketing and promotional noise to deliver effective solutions. How can they effectively address the issues of confidentiality, integrity, resilience, and compliance of cloud-enable security solutions?
