The 2010 Bounceback in SMB IT Spending: Asia/Pacific and CEMA, the Midmarket, and IT Services Will Lead the Way

Abstract

This IDC Insight provides updated estimates of IT spending worldwide in 2009 by small and midsize businesses. Growth rates and total IT spending for 2009 and 2010 are provided for small businesses (firms with 1–99 employees), lower midmarket firms (those with 100–499 employees), and upper midmarket firms (those with 500–999 employees). SMB IT spending is presented for five major regions: North America; Western Europe; Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (CEMA); Asia/Pacific; and Latin America. SMB spending is also examined by technology category: PCs and peripherals, systems and storage, networking equipment, packaged software, and IT services.
