2009 G.R.A.D.E. Certification Assessment: Unisys

Abstract

This IDC Vendor Profile summarizes the key findings of IDC' s analysis of Unisys, leading up to the certification award. IDC' s research shows that Unisys has used for some time a solid customer-engaging front-end operation, augmented by its back-end and processing capabilities. Combining its own resources and those of its partners, Unisys has built an infrastructure to deal with an enterprise-class asset disposal operation that incorporates compliance with data security and environmental requirements, financial metrics that provide cost avoidance when available, and good operational elements from onsite services to reverse logistics and transportation. The existing processes put in place are a reflection of a management team that understand ITAD practices and are forward thinking. In light of our findings, IDC awarded the G.R.A.D.E. certification to Unisys, a certification valid for the year 2010.
